Three days of family fun, live music and college sports

Annual party includes free admission and tailgating

The party is almost here! Badger Bash, the University of Wisconsin's traditional Labor Day weekend celebration, begins Friday and runs through Sunday.

The weekend kicks off with a grand parade at 6:30 p.m. Friday on State Street. Organizers expect more than 100 parade entries and over 100,000 spectators lining the route.

The parade will include floats, bands, dignitaries and the UW football team. Fans can also enjoy live music, food and drinks at the post-parade block party on State Street.

On Saturday, Badger Bash moves to the UW campus with a full day of activities, including:

  • A free concert featuring country music star Jake Owen
  • A football scrimmage
  • A volleyball match
  • A variety of family-friendly activities

Admission to Badger Bash is free, and tailgating is allowed in designated areas.

Badger Bash concludes on Sunday with the UW football team's season opener against Illinois State. The game kicks off at 11 a.m. at Camp Randall Stadium.
