Omoda C5: Chinese compact crossover will soon appear in Russia

Compact crossover Omoda C5 from the Chinese brand Omoda will appear on the Russian market in the near future.

The model will be available in three trim levels with one engine option and a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The Omoda C5 was first introduced in China in 2021. The car is built on the Chery T1X platform, which also underpins the Chery Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 7 crossovers.

The length of the Omoda C5 is 4400 mm, the width is 1830 mm, and the height is 1588 mm. The wheelbase is 2630 mm. The trunk volume is 378 liters.

The Omoda C5 will be offered in Russia with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 147 hp. and 210 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a CVT or a seven-speed robotic gearbox.

The Omoda C5 will be available in three trim levels: Comfort, Luxury, and Ultimate. The basic equipment of the car will include LED headlights, a 10.25-inch touchscreen multimedia system, a rear-view camera, and climate control.

The Omoda C5 is expected to go on sale in Russia in the first quarter of 2023. The price of the car will be announced closer to the start of sales.
