ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Benedict College Tigers opened their spring football season with a 27-3 win over Morehouse College on Saturday afternoon at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium.

Morehouse took the opening kickoff and drove into Benedict territory, but Benedict's defense held and forced a Maroon Tigers field goal attempt, which was blocked by Benedict's Dondre Purvis. Benedict intercepted a Morehouse pass on their opening drive and the Tigers took over and had a first.
